Saint Lucia is the quintessential island paradise. Imagine the majestic peaks of the Pitons reaching to the heavens, the splendor of lush rainforests, and the hypnotizing blue-

green  waters of the Caribbean breaking just off shore. The island’s landscape, people, customs, and cuisine intertwine to provide the perfect setting for the vacation of a lifetime.

Here, the unique confluence of Caribbean, African, English, and French cultures creates an exquisite blend of food, music, and traditions that will inspire and enchant you.

Nestled amidst tropical forests with soft sand beaches bordering on pristine coral reefs, ANSE CHASTANET is in complete harmony with its natural surroundings. This is the perfect scuba hideaway for those seeking a tranquil or romantic vacation spot.

Scuba St. Lucia is situated just steps away from ANSE CHASTANET beach - perfect for both BEACH AND BOAT DIVES with a complete range of guided activities and PADI courses for first-timers to advanced and deeper enriched air nitrox diving.

The Diving

The Anse Chastanet reef starts just 10 yards beyond the water's edge. The reef's remarkable ecosystem offers an amazing profusion of unusual tropical marine life, in 20 to 140 feet of calm, clear water. Anse Chastanet Reef which is home to more than 150 different species of fish makes for an amazing dive day or night. In the shallow areas be sure to keep your eyes open for peacock flounders, octopus, needle fish and turtles. Or drop down a little deeper over dense coral growth to see puffers, moray eels, parrot fish, lobsters and even sea horses. A unique dive site for all abilities and especially good for macro photography

The shore dive is a required "first" dive for dive guests. It allows divers to feel ensured that all equipment is functioning properly, that their buoyancy skills are adequate for entering the marine reserve and to provide an orientation to the type of diving for which St Lucia is known. This reef is a favorite of most professional underwater photographers and videographers who visit Anse Chastanet.

The boat dives should also not be missed - dramatic walls beneath the majestic Piton Mountains, Superman's flight, a drift dive in the shadow of the Petit Piton, Coral Gardens and Jalousie under the Gros Piton, Piton Wall, the wreck of the "Lesleen M", Anse La Raye and Anse Cochon. Closer to home for the afternoon boat trips but no less spectacular sites, the diver can explore Fairyland, Turtle Reef, Grand Caille, Trou Diable, the Pinnacles and much more...

Night dives are offered at least twice weekly on Anse Chastanet's Reef, which really "wakes up" at night, with many interesting crustaceans on the move, large basket stars, sleeping parrot fish, octopus and squid, bioluminescence and the "THING".

Dining at Anse Chastanet

Activities at Anse Chastanet

Anse Chastanet is the only St. Lucia resort which encompasses more than 600 tropical acres and borders not only one but two soft sand beaches. There are so many activities on offer right on site than many guests feel that a return visit is needed to get to see the rest of the island!

Walking, hiking, birdwatching - all of these activities can be enjoyed on the resort property itself in addition to which there are daily scheduled excursions off property and all over the island.

Being located on the Caribbean coastline, the Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin beaches and bay are perfect for sun bathing and swimming in calm crystal clear waters.

The old French Colonial plantation of Anse Mamin is located directly behind Anse Mamin beach and is a tropical garden of Eden with historical ruins dating back to the 18th century. The Anse Mamin plantation can be visited with one of the estate guides for a guided tour or guests can visit the plantation early morning or late afternoon for jogging on the estate trails. The resort mountain biking centre Bike St. Lucia also operates from the plantation and the active minded will enjoy a jungle biking adventure on one of the resort Cannondale mountainbikes.

ANSE CHASTANET is located near most of St. Lucia's most important sightseeing attractions: The Sulphur Springs, St. Lucia's famous walk-in volcano, the Louis XVI Mineral Baths, the Tropical Rain Forest and the famous Twin Pitons - all these sites are within a short distance of ANSE CHASTANET.
