American Divers International (ADI) is a small, family-owned business.  It has existed for over 39 years only because of the great support of our loyal, local customers.  Everyone who works and teaches at ADI lives with their family in Brevard.

Our existence is directly dependent on YOUR support.  

We recognize that our products can be purchased elsewhere, possibly for less. But ask yourself if the internet can provide these services:

Diving safety depends on the periodic servicing of your equipment - its life support equipment

Provide Rentals - we always have top-quality rentals

Provide Local and International Dive Trips - We take the time to schedule dive trips for you, so you don't have to worry about the hassle

Teach your children and friends to dive - We have taught literally thousands of people to dive over our 39+ years of business

Provide continuing education opportunities for certified divers

Provide certified pure breathing air for your scuba tanks

When your diving skills get rusty, you may use our heated pool to refresh your skills, free of charge

We have always given our customers the opportunity to try out dive gear in our pool before you buy it to ensure it fits, is comfortable, and performs to your expectations, again free of charge

The reason discount stores and internet equipment sources can sell dive equipment "cheaper" is because they do not provide these basic needs for scuba divers, thereby reducing the cost of running their business. These businesses are not concerned about you as a diver, they are simply concerned about making a buck.

More importantly, our staff is someone from your community - not a faceless voice on the phone or a generic "shopping cart" on your computer screen. A full staff costs money; additionally, our overhead as a small business is more than a discount chain or internet sales source because of the additional services we provide to you at little to no additional cost.
