"Being a fairly new diver, I liked the idea of diving with a group, and having instructors present. Our first dive was done on a shallow wreck that has been made diver-safe. I can't tell you how exciting it was to drop down into a hole in the top of the wreck and see hundreds of colorful fish, and then to exit out of a hole in the side. Initially I was nervous, but now that I've done it, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything!"
During our first reef drift dive, our Divemaster allowed me to carry the float. I was so enthusiastic about my 'new job' that I forgot to look back and make sure everyone was following me! The whole group had stopped to look at a 10-foot-long nurse shark sleeping under the reef! Thank goodness, the Divemaster relieved me of my duty so that I could also take in this large, beautiful, sleeping nurse shark.
One of the best parts about this trip, besides the diving, was that I didn't have to drive. In fact, I slept all the way back!
The group that went made it an absolutely spectacular experience. I'm looking forward to the next 3 tank dive!"
